simple design of a Traditional hanbook

Displaying 4478_001.jpg

In this simple drawing i have incorporate the British traditions of the Victorian style as well as using Korean traditional hanbok style. through the two style i have made an infusion. i have done this, because i thought it would be beautiful to mesh the two styles. I love the high collar and the frillers that Victorians have and i love the short top and long skirt that the hanbok has

Hanbok! Everyone Loves Hanboks

I WASS SOO EXCITED TO TRY A HANBOK. IT WAS THE DREAM! (NO LIE)

At the end we had a fabulous catwalk, everyone had so much fun, showing off our beautiful hanboks!

we had a designer named - Injoo Lee and her lable is Moon Lee

who showed us what hanbok represent to her and what things in a hankbok inspires her!
and all her beautiful clothes have beautiful meanings behind it. A story where she shared through her clothes (hanboks)  i enjoyed what she had to offer through her unique designs!

아리랑 (Arirang)

Fist time being introduced to Korean traditional music. i have always wondered what music was before Kpop!

The music played in the you-tube clip, is the song we learnt as a group. we learnt the simple and delicate dance moves to go along with the song.

I still have this song in my head! its very peaceful!

The folk is music is definitely different to what i heard on a daily basics, but the soft instrumental and husky voices of the music gives the song texture and some-what comfort when listening to the song.

on the same day we had to perform this dance move with out fan, which kept on falling off my hand XD
I was nervous because i wasn't familiar with  Hangul pronunciation, but with the patience and reputation from the teacher. It was easy to pick up and i enjoyed dancing with my fan! The one i posted! (before hand)

Fan Art

At Kpop Academy. They suggested to draw a drawing on our fann. I was sooo excited that i did it asap when i had full off inspection. I originally wamted to do a japanese fish and have beautiful watercolors. However it wasnt possible as I didnt believe i had strong enough paints for that, so i chose my second idea of hanbok s.

Even gets me excited/ready for the Saturday to come where we get to dress in hanboks. Can. Not . Wait. Eeeek.

Week 2 ~ Calligraphy

Amazing so relaxting.

Something to pratice or  too take part more often!
Its very  hard to get the writing smoothly, but once i got the hand of it. I tried to copy the traditional korean writing font.

We learnt more of the korean writing and history behing hangul. Very interesting. I never knew that North and South korean has a different alphabet order!
King Sejong is an intellilect to structure the whole of the korean language! Unbelievable!
